R&B Rhythms is here with QwanGifted how’s it going?
Hey what’s up R&B Rhythms its going well.
Tell me a little bit about how you got your start in music and who are some of your musical influences out there coming up.
Growing up I would listen to Jaheim, jagged edge, Lyfe Jennings and Joe, just to name a few. But all my life I loved music and have had a passion for it. It just comes to me naturally.
How did you come up with the name QwanGifted for yourself?
It’s simple, I needed a name that can be branded towards any crowd. So Qwan Being half of my real name and Gifted representing my talent and gifts, I put it all together and got QwanGifted and it just stuck with me.
We premiered your new single entitled Put It Down on the site this month. Tell me a little bit about the single?
The single is a tutorial for men. It is painting a picture where men still can be considerate and put their women first. Advising the ladies to drop that dead weight and get with someone who will go the distant to make sure she’s pleased.
Tell me a little bit about your upcoming projects that you are working on. I have more projects on the way I’m just taking it a step at a time. My next project will be bigger than the last, Just know that it always gets greater later and I wont let you down.
Any upcoming videos?
Yes, I actually have a video being released in a week that im featured on including Wally G and QuawnBaby. We did a collab back in 2012 titled “Understand My Grind”, It’s a inspirational motivational type of feel. I think everyone will love it.
What are your thoughts on R&B in 2014?
The R&B scene to me has a lot of polishing up to do. I want to bring back that good ol soul refreshing sound back into the R&B scene. It needs more Meaningful music and I plan on being one of the pioneers for that.
What’s some singles or albums that you are currently playing that you are feeling at the moment?
