GiBBZ makes his world debut on Gramatik’s Lowtemp label with his very own solo EP, titled Who Gibbz A F#@$. The heady EP reflects his eccentric personality inside and out and results in a strong cocktail full of charming and yet seductive lyrics that would make any girls pants wind up on the floor.
In a time and place where electronic music is thinning out with a lack of diversity, the multi-talented artist will certainly inspire some extreme reactions with this rollercoaster ride of relentlessly addictive electrofied disco-pop synths seasoned with hooks that will become your pre-game anthem in no time.
With lyrical content ranging from the woes of the road to banging in public bathrooms, GiBBZ holds it down as a singer, songwriter and producer on the funky four track EP. The lead single “Again and Again” reached over 180K plays on Soundcloud since its release last month.“The entire record has come out of having fun” says GiBBZ, “99% of all life on earth has 3 responsibilities. Eat, live, f#@$. Forget all the other bulls**t. Eat like a king, Live every day like its your last, and F#@$ like a boss.”
Who Gibbz A F#@$ continues to sexually seduce our eardrums with his hedonistic falsetto on tracks like “Show You” and “Do It For You,” while “Crafty” is a vocal-less production which Gibbz says was created as “an attempt to flex my sound design muscles without having to use my voice or a lyric to make it catchy.” With that being said, don’t let the EP title fool you. We’re guarantee you’ll be “gibbing” a f**k about Gibbz as soon as you press play.
This Spring both Gramatik and GiBBZ will debut their first ever Gibbzmatik performance @ SRB Brooklyn on March 20th along with a US and European Spring Tour; kicking off at Ultra Music Festival on Saturday, March 29th
