“A long running Dutch trio, Kraak & Smaak are living proof that the Netherlands’ dance scene extends far beyond the relentless tempos of Gabba. New single ‘The Future Is Yours’ bares all the trio’s trademarks, with plenty of pop melodies running through their house sound.”
– Clash magazine
“Kraak & Smaak are an act notorious for making some of the most interesting and intricate
indie dance / nu disco at the time.”
– Dancing Astronaut
“I’ve been impressed with K&S’s recent work, particularly the brilliant Golden Girls remix which for me is one of the tunes of the year 2013.”
– Mixmag
“The funky dutch trio focus largely on uplifting club hooks for their latest vocal – strewn outing including a soulful turn from Ben Westbeech on the future is yours.”

More about Kraak & Smaak:
The dynamic dutch trio have had listeners fending for their funky tunes and soulful melodies for some time now. Publications such as Dancing Astronaut, DJ Mag, and Mixmag have caught the Kraak & Smaak bug and they can’t get enough. “I’ve been impressed with K&S’s recent work, particularly the brilliant Golden Girls remix which for me is one of the tunes of the year 2013,” says Duncan Dick – Deputy Editor of Mixmag. Hot off the heels of their electric series of performances at SXSW they are invading the west coast with four dates this May.
Their latest full length release Chrome Waves, take listeners on a cosmic journey, straddling the perfect line between mellow and danceable. Chrome Waves in an ultra glossy 11 track record that will leave you feeling blissed-out, nostalgic and entertained throughout. As Dancing Astronaut puts it so well, “Like a classier Disclosure or an under-marketed Daft Punk, the trio makes you want to reinvest your musical fantasies in the full-length platform. So many have tried it for 2013, but with these Dutch trailblazers behind the wheel, the whole process feels ever so genuine. Kraak & Smaak have found a way to give modern dance music unprecedented soul, spirit and compositional substance.”
Album cover by Jacob Escobedo – artist for The Shins, Vampire Weekend & Broken Bells.
