JessMan Interview

R&B Rhythms chilled with singer/songwriter JessMan for an exlcusive interview. We discuss his new single Everythang Good with Mr. Jet Black and their upcoming duo album and much more so check it out.

I2G is here with JessMan how’s it going?

Aww man everything is lovely man, how you doing?

Good. For those unfamiliar with your music, tell me a little bit about your start in music and who are some of your musical influences out there coming up.

Just real briefly, I got my start a while back. I was signed by RCA Records and I was in a group called Next Level and after that I just kept on my grind and started my solo career and lately I have been working with Mr. Jet Black and we are putting together this album. It is going to be a real slapper for you all.

What was it like creating the new single with Mr. Jet Black, Everythang Good?

It was a party and that was what this whole creative process of making this album was like. We hung out in the studio alot and vibing and that was the feeling that came out on that song. We got in the booth and put it together like a real good song does.

Do you have a personal favorite song from the album?

Not to sound like I am just putting a plug out there for the album, but I think it is for me Everythang Good. Because that song is like something you play at a barbecue. You know those songs like Johnny Kemp Just Got Paid?

Right. (Laughs)

It is just one of those feel good songs that make you want to get up and dance. You are outside, the barbecue is going, got family around you, got a bumping track going and having a good time getting turnt up.

To me that is what a good record represents but for me that is my favorite song off the album.

Do you guys have anymore videos set to drop from the project?

We have a few upcoming videos but I think the next video will be from the next single which is looking like Turn Up. This one is a BANGER so stay tuned for that.

After this project, do you have anything in the works solo wise?

Of course I am always thinking of different angles and directions to go with my music from a solo perspective. Whether I am working with rappers or getting different hooks done for songs. Really my mindset right now is getting this album with Jet Black done and promoted properly, because I feel like this album is something special. People need to hear this album.

Do you have any upcoming shows or tour dates?

We are working on shows right now as we speak.

What is your website information? Google JessMan.

Alright well that is all the questions I have for you, appreciate you getting down for the interview. Is there any last words or shoutouts you want to get out there to the people?

To all my Bay Area folks and my peeps I love yall. Keep the support coming, it’s been wonderful and we are on a mission. The revolution is on and if you are not down with the movement, join us you will not be disappointed. He’s The Singer, I’m The Rapper, JessMan Mr. Jet Black coming sooner than you think.
