Having caught our ear with her stunning remix of Flight Facilities last month, LA-based Henri returns with “Only Love Will Take Me There,” a haunting slab of caustic techno featuring deadpan vocals and menacing synth lines.” Harder Blogger Faster
“Moody, melodic and sexy… could definitely hear it in a Solomun set. Great track.” Arthur Baker
“Always pushing forward, “Dark Star” has it all – a warm, solid groove, gnarly at times and topped with delicately placed moments of ecstasy.” John Monkman
“Love the refined, moody vibes on “Dark Star”.” Eric Sharp
“Henri Strikes Back Again…really like this EP. “Dark Star” means one world: Deepness, lying on dreamy melodies. “Only Love Will Take Me There” goes directly to the obscurity of night dancefloors. Heidi Höven remix brings the deeps back. Full support!” Irregular Disco Workers
Henri has put together an exclusive mix for Discobelle.

Last year, Henri reached number two on the Hype Machine charts with her emotive remix of ‘Two Bodies (feat. Emma Louise)’ by Australian duo, Flight Facilities.
Henri’s second release on Monstertooth Records, was the AA-side EP, ‘Dark Star.’
The lead track, ‘Dark Star,’ features a swelling, cinematic string arrangement by composer/producer Dan Heath (Lana Del Rey). Described by Arthur Baker as “Moody, melodic and sexy… could definitely hear it in a Solomun set.”
The AA-side, ‘Only Love Will Take Me There’ (co-written and co-produced by Marius de Vries), is a delphic and industrial track framed around an ethereal choir sample and Henri’s spoken word lyrics, reminiscent of an indulgent techno night in the ’90s.
The AA-side also includes a fresh remix of ‘Only Love Will Take Me There’ by L.A.-based production team Heidi Höven, consisting of the super talented choon spiller and sophisticated style icon, Heidi Lawden, and industry cracker jack, Hein Höven (Sade, Joe Strummer, Bush, Black Grape).
Henri (Henrietta Tiefenthaler) was born in London, but is now based in L.A., where her versatility is beginning to attract serious attention; DJing, producing and singing on her own dance/pop productions.
Henri is one producer/DJ to watch in 2016.
