Earlier this year, LA trio Phil N Good established themselves as purveyors of the feel good anthem with Carnival tribute “Stranger” featuring Soca legend Shurwayne Winchester. Continuing their dedication to anthems and island inspired rhythms, Phil N Good are ready to celebrate another heady festivity on “Juana.”
An ode to 4/20, “Juana” lights things up with the help of Barbadian singer/songwriter/producer Jus D who provides the single’s lifted vocals. Marrying steel drums, 808, and tropical themes, “Juana” is a direct channel to the islands- whether you’re sparking up or not!
Phil N Good are a relatively new trio that have built an ample buzz due to their remixes that have clocked in over 1.75 million plays on Soundcloud alone. They’re made up of industry veterans, DJ Hapa (co-founder of Scratch DJ Academy LA and host of Feel Good Sound on DASH Radio) and J Rhythm (another Dirty Night on DASH Radio). The third member in the group is rising producer/DJ, Dirty D. Collaborator Jus D has established himself as a local legend around his native Barbados having worked with Rupee, Ricardo Drue, I-Octane, Shaggy, Shurwayne Winchester, Shontelle and more
Stay tuned for more announcements to come from Phil N Good, and be sure to grab your free download of “Juana”
