Check out our exclusive interview with Moha.
R&B Rhythms is here with Moha, how’s it going?
It’s going well. Happy to be here with you
Tell me a little bit about how you got your start in music and who are some of your musical influences.
It all happened very naturally. I was 15 years old when the need to exteriorize what I was seeing and hearing in my head became too much to hold back. I was really going crazy J. I was this loner kid that did not speak much so I had to get it out in some way and music was the medium that best describe what was going on inside my head
As far as musical influences, I would say I really don’t have any. I did not grow up listening to music so when I started making it, I didn’t have any reference to help shape mine. I would say people and experiences are my influences.
Do you have any upcoming albums getting ready to release?
Absolutely!! I am currently wrapping up my debut album called Fit. It means courage in my native language
Do you have any more upcoming videos?
We will be releasing the 2nd video early to mid-February. The song is called Cold Feet, which was released on January 16th and is the prequel to my previous single A-Side
What are your current thoughts on the music industry?
I think the music industry is doing great quite frankly. Not necessarily the mainstream side of it because of all of the extras that drive the business side of it but if you try and go beyond what’s being put in front of your face, you have scenes that are doing incredibly well. Could use the example of Africa and South America.. Now, their music is starting to get more love on a global scale and I think it’s just the beginning. It’s super dope if you ask me..
What is currently playing on your playlist musically?
I am still stuck on Andy Palacio’s Watina and Judit Neddermann’s Un Segon. Those albums are truly amazing. Everything I love in music
Do you have any shows or tour dates?
Sure. I am gearing up for a show in NYC at Brooklyn Bowl on Feb 23rd before leaving for Europe early April. The European tour dates will be available very soon
